2017 New Holland 980CR

The 2017 New Holland 980CR is a rigid corn head designed for high-capacity corn harvesting, engineered to perfectly match the performance of New Holland CR series combines. It emphasizes efficient crop gathering, durable construction, and optimized harvesting in various conditions.

Available in 6, 8, 12, and 16-row configurations with row spacings of 30 inches standard, and 36 or 38 inches for 8-row models. The rigid design provides a stable, straightforward platform for reliable operation.

Stalk rolls feature multiple (often four) knives designed to aggressively pull down stalks of any size for efficient feeding and reduced MOG intake. Remotely Adjusted Deck Plates are standard, allowing operators to adjust the deck plate opening from the cab for varying stalk and cob sizes. Optional integrated stalk choppers with individual row engagement provide fine chopping and superb residue spreading.

The large 26-inch (660.4 mm) diameter feeding auger ensures fast and smooth crop delivery into the combine feederhouse in heavy conditions. A Powered Auger Divider outside the fender efficiently gathers stalks and prevents ear loss. The concave fender shape catches falling ears and transfers them into the header.

Shorter points follow ground contours and protect valuable crop. Flexible polyethylene islands and dividers absorb impact and keep ears inside the header. Points fold up easily for service. Dividers and fenders fold on gas struts for accessibility. Optional AutoFloat™ system maintains consistent stubble height. Optional rotary dividers enhance performance in down corn.
