1997 John Deere 9400

The 1997 John Deere 9400 is a legendary 4WD articulated tractor that has been an agricultural workhorse all its life. With a massive 425 HP engine and 24-speed transmission, it's built for the heaviest tillage and fieldwork. Recently put out 1,400+ acres in winter work and handled summer disking.

Powered by a John Deere 12.5L (763 cu in) 6-cylinder turbocharged and aftercooled diesel engine producing 425 hp (317 kW). Engine received a rebuild approximately 4-5 years ago. Clutches were also replaced in recent years. New muffler and breather box installed 2 years ago.

Equipped with the 24-speed PowerSync transmission providing excellent speed selection for varied field conditions and transport. Full 4WD articulated steering delivers exceptional traction. The articulated frame bends in the middle, keeping all four wheels on the ground.

Features air conditioning, heat, and AM/FM radio in the cab. ATU (AutoTrac Universal) with harnessing for AutoTrac automated steering. Built-in switch and harness for a John Deere rate controller. Paint is in excellent overall condition.
